Appeal for witnesses following fatal Westmeath traffic collision

Westmeath Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Kilbeggan yesterday.

A man in his 70s lost his life in a single-vehicle incident involving a tractor at ten to eight yesterday morning

The incident took place on the R389 Mullingar Road near the town, with the route closed yesterday to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the scene.

Local Gardaí are urging anyone who was in the area yesterday morning, especially those with dash cams, to contact Athlone Garda Station on 090 64 98550
