An appeal has been lodged to An Bord Pleanála over the granting of permission for a telecommunications mast in Leitrim.
Vodafone Ireland Limited had applied for permission to construct a 21.5 metre mast carrying existing antennas, dishes at the Eir Exchange in Saint George's Terrace, Townspark in Carrick on Shannon.
Leitrim county council granted permission for the mast with 5 conditions attached.
An appeal has now been lodged against the development by Margaret Gannon, who has raised concerns over the height of the mast, the impact the structure will have on the visual amenity of the state and the need for it in general.
The higher planning body will decide on the case in December.
