A Ballaghaderreen resident is appealing to young people in the town not to cause any more damage to a local community garden.
The garden was established around 4 years ago after Super Valu donated some lands and it now has a poly tunnel and a round house where people can meet.
Paul Cole says he and his wife have been very happy to be involved in the project since the beginning and it's very difficult to see damage caused such as happened in recent days.
A chair was broken and several plants were snapped and damaged in an incident over the weekend.
Paul says young people are part of the community and as such are fully entitled to use the garden, but he's asking them not to break things and vandalise it.
