A wind energy company has challenged Roscommon County Council's refusal of a planned wind turbine in Kilcash.
Natural Forces Renewable Energy Ltd were last month refused permission to progress 4.2 MW wind turbine with overall tip height of up to 150m.
Plans included the construction of the wind turbine foundation, hard standing and assembly area along with a site entrance and an access track within the site.
Public submission lodged against the development included concerns over damage to local heritage and a claim the turbine would be in the flight path of migrating hooper swans.
An Bord Pleanála will make their decision on the appeal in June.
