Pre-trial hearings for Jozef Puska will begin on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, Co. Offaly, is accused of the murder of schoolteacher Ashling Murphy last year.
23-year-old Ashling Murphy died while out for a run along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, Co Offaly on the 12th of January 2022.

The court heard that a pre-trial hearing is needed before the trial itself officially opens.
That will start on Wednesday before Justice Tony Hunt, and will take two weeks.
The trial itself, expected to now open later this month, is set to last for up to four weeks.
