Athlone Chamber of Commerce have called on the incoming Government to ensure the future development of the town.
In a statement released to Shannonside FM News, Chamber CEO Tommy Hogan urged the Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and Independent led Government to support policies that would continue the economic growth of Athlone.
The chamber identified a number of key priorities in Athlone that they say the Government must address.
These include the provision of housing and student housing, investment in transport infrastructure and further supports for the early learning and childcare sector locally.
Chamber CEO Tommy Hogan says that Athlone is a vibrant and growing community and must be kept as such.
