An Athlone based GP says staffing new regional menopause clinics will be a major issue.
Dr Deirdre Forde was commenting on confirmation that a specialist menopause clinic is to be developed in the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin this year.
It's then planned to roll out regional clinics next year.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has said the clinics will form a core part of a new approach to menopause care for women in Ireland.
Dr Forde runs the Ceile Medical Centre in Athlone which is a private clinic for women's health.
She says she's been finding it difficult to find another doctor to help her there.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show earlier Dr Forde says staffing the new regional clinics planned will also be a major challenge.
