An Athlone travel agent is assuring anyone who booked holidays through tour operators that they will get their money back.
Fifteen travel agents protested outside the Dail yesterday in order to appeals for government support for the industry which has been crippled by the Covid pandemic.
Jeff Collins is the owner of Best4Travel which has a kiosk in Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone.
He previously employed up to 57 people during the peak of hi the tourism season but is now down to just seven.
He feels confusing advice on travel as well as the 'green list has eroded confidence in people taking holidays abroad.
