August Rainfall across the Shannonside region has already surpassed the total amount recorded in July. New data from Met Eireann shows that while the thermometers have shown mild temperatures locally, it's not kept the rain away. The figures from the National forecaster also show August rain levels almost doubled that of June this year, where 42 millimetres fell. The average temperature in the region for August stands at 14 degrees Celsius.
