The average cost of a home in Roscommon has jumped by almost 12 percent in the last year.
That's according to the latest Daft.ie property report which show the average cost of a house in the county is €193,253.
Prices in Longford rose by 9.3% with the average house cost there put at €184,985, meanwhile Leitrim prices rose by just over 9% with the cost of a home in the county now standing at €173.215.
Meanwhile nationally listed prices on Daft.ie rose by 6.1 per cent in 2022, down from an increase of 8.1 per cent in 2021.
Economist and author of the report, Ronan Lyons, says House price increases are starting to lull slightly, following a surge in demand during the pandemic.
"Earlier in the year prices in Munster were increasing at 14% year on year and indeed in Connaught they were up almost 20%. Both of those markets have cooled significantly are in line with the national average and increases during the year of about 6 or 7%. What that means is that these COVID increases that they were saw, they're over, in terms of dramatic increases over the course 6, 9, 12 months from 2021 into 2022".
