Motorists are now waiting 15 weeks on average to sit their test in Roscommon, Leitrim and Longford.

The average waiting time for a driving test has more than doubled in the Shannonside region since 2022.

Motorists are now waiting 15 weeks on average to sit their test in Roscommon, Leitrim and Longford: Driving test waiting times have increased across the Shannonside region in the last two years. According to figures for May, Longford has the longest waiting time at 17 weeks, up 10 weeks since 2022. Motorists are waiting an average of 14 weeks in Roscommon, which is up from three weeks just two years. Leitrim also has a waiting time of 14 weeks and that's up from 10 weeks in 2022.

There has, however, been a slight reduction in waiting times in Leitrim and Longford since March of this year, falling by two weeks and one week respectively.
