Businesses at the Square in Ballaghaderreen are raising their objections to the loss of up to 56 car parking spaces as part of public realm enhancement plans for the town.

The plans include creating a public space in the Square with open spaces, trees and seats but it will involve reducing car parking spaces from 67 to 11.

The 3 million euro proposal will be discussed with the community at an online public meeting tomorrow evening.
