Ballaghaderreen residents are expressing concern there could be a fire if a new energy development gets the go-ahead.
Grid System Services is looking for planning for a energy storage system at Ballyoughter.
It would involve 44 battery blocks and 11 transformer and inverter units, which would connect to a nearby electricity substation.
Roscommon County Council is due to decide in January whether to give it planning.
Local resident Jimmy Cogan is one of those opposing it - he's concerned about a fire.
Jimmy says there are other more suitable locations for the plant, but not the current proposed site.
