It's been confirmed that the new proposed Ballaghaderreen Leisure Centre will not re-open as previously planned. The leisure amenity in Ballaghaderreen, which is located at the former Abbeyfield Hotel, was planned to re-open under new management this year.
However in a statement published on Facebook this evening, Ballaghaderreen Leisure Centre say they have been unable to agree terms with the owners of the building and will be withdrawing from negotiations. The statement concluded by saying that despite best intentions and hard work, unforeseen circumstances have not made it possible for this project to proceed as planned.
