A local TD has said the reopening of Ballaghadereen library brings huge benefits to the town.
Roscommon-Galway TD Claire Kerrane was speaking following the opening of the temporary library in Ballaghadereen this morning.
The service has been shut over the past number of years due to the need for significant restoration works at Dillon House in the town.
Services are now available at a location adjacent to Supervalue in the town centre.
Following identification of the temporary site and a Part 8 planning process to allow the service to operate, the Library will now reopen at 10 o'clock this morning.
Members of the public will be able to access photocopying, printing, PC access, Wi-Fi, study areas and an extensive offering of books.
