A large crowd is expected in Ballaghaderreen later today as part of a protest rally against ongoing Public Realm works in the town.
Up to 50 retailers have been taking part in rolling protests this week to voice their anger over changes to the streetscape in the west Roscommon town.
Over 520 submissions were made to Roscommon County Council in response to the plans but the local authority says the works are a once in a lifetime transformational opportunity.
Retailers, however, say the removal of some 47 car parking spaces will have a detrimental impact on footfall and the local economy.
They say they will hold a public rally to further voice their opposition at 3 o'clock today.
