A Ballaghaderreen resident says he's ready to mount another protest about the continued closure of the town's library if he doesn't see works taking place there inside the next four weeks.
Former County Councillor Michael Scally was responding to news that the upgrading of a heating system in the old library premises will likely mean that the facility won't be re-opened until early next year.
The library has been closed for a number of years now for essential works and the community activist says it's a huge loss to the local community and for social interaction for older people.
Michael Scally says if there was a problem with the heating system he can't see why that wasn't identified and worked on from the beginning.
'I think that we would have to get out and protest again in the next few weeks if there is not action taken and if we are not satisficed that there is definite progress being made. Sustainable progress that we can see what they have been doing the last four years. If the problem is now it's three or four years.'
