It's after a series of burglaries in the county recently, with shops, farms and small businesses all targeted.

The relics will be in Ballaghaderreen, Athlone, Sligo and Kiltoom in south Roscommon over the next six weeks.

They are going on a tour around Ireland and will visit Knock, Ballaghaderreen and Athlone in the coming weeks.

It's starting in the Castlerea Mart grounds at 4pm on Sunday, September 29, and will then head down to the Town Square.

Roscommon Gardaí are currently investigating break-ins at commercial premises in Tulsk, Loughglynn and Ballaghaderreen which occurred late last week.

Its pupil numbers have grown by a third over he past seven years, and children from 26 different countries are attending the school.

Commercial premises in Tulsk, Loughglynn and Ballaghaderreen were all broken into between 11 o'clock last night and 6 o'clock this morning.

The relics will be taken to St Mel's Cathedral in Longford, St Nathy's Cathedral in Ballaghaderreen, and the Church of the Risen Christ in Kiltoom, over the next two months.
