The funding can be used to develop the likes of walkways, parking facilities and improve accessibility.

The new centre will be open to the public from 12:30 until 2pm

Longford County Council bought the site and it has been subject to renovation works since 2022.

The works would accompany a coffee shop and seating area.

A decision will be made on the application in November.

Today's route will take the cyclists through Mayo, Roscommon, Longford, Cavan and Monaghan.
