A Ballinamore man in his 70s, who has serious hearing problems, has been waiting over 10 months for an audiology appointment.
Fianna Fáil councillor Gary Prior raised the issue at a Leitrim County Council meeting this week.
He says vacant staff positions in the audiology service in Sligo are causing long waiting lists - affecting those who need assessments and hearing aids.

Councillor Prior says he's very concerned about the elderly man in Ballinamore.
