Ballinasloe councillor Alan Harney in Fine Gael race in Roscommon-Galway

Ballinasloe councillor Alan Harney has been nominated to contest the Fine Gael selection convention in the Roscommon-Galway constituency.

The recently-elected councillor is one of four names in the race, ahead of the close of nominations later today.

Also in the race are South Roscommon councillor John Naughten, Ballinasloe senator Aisling Dolan and Dympna Daly-Finn, from Arigna.

The general election selection convention will be held on September 20th.
