Ballinasloe Senator to contest Seanad elections next month

Ballinasloe Senator Aisling Dolan is a confirmed candidate for next month's Seanad elections. She has been nominated by the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association to run on the agricultural panel, in a so-called 'outside nomination'. She failed to get elected in Roscommon-Galway in the general election recently.

Senator Dolan says Fine Gael is also considering giving her an 'inside nomination' for the Seanad elections, which is seen as more advantageous.
