A TD claims children with special needs in Ballinasloe are being treated differently because of their address.

The Dail has heard claims that special classes for over forty children with autism are to be established in south Dublin ahead of the return to school next month after an intervention from the previous Education Minister Joe McHugh.

However, Denis Naughten claims that the Department of Education has resisted all efforts by St Teresa's School in Ballinasloe to develop an ASD unit.
