Ballygar GP Martin Daly says a fire at his East Galway practice is very upsetting especially as it has been the family practice for generations.
The medical centre in Ballygar caught a blaze this morning and extensive damage was caused, particularly to the older part of the building to the front.
Patients will be seen by GPs at the nearby former care home from tomorrow and plans are in place to ensure that administering Covid-19 vaccines on Saturday will not be affected.
Dr. Martin Daly says while nobody was hurt, it is very upsetting especially as it was the building where his parents begun their practice in the late 1960s.
