The R392 between Ballymahon and Mullingar has re-opened this morning following a fatal road crash on Monday afternoon.
A 45-year-old woman, believed to be from the South Longford area, was killed when her car was in a collision with a truck at Glascarn, Rathconrath.
Her body was removed from the scene and a post mortem is due to take place today.

The truck driver, a man in his early 40s, was uninjured and did not require medical attention.
Gardaí are appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí.
