Bambie Thug 'so proud' of team after successful Eurovision results

Taoiseach Simon Harris congratulated Bambie Thug for a 'stunning performance' that 'did Ireland proud'.

A Eurovision that's attracted lots of controversy this year, has been won by Switzerland.
There were demonstrations and calls for Israel to be banned because of the war in Gaza and it's representative was booed and cheered when she got on stage.
For the first time ever, an act was disqualified after reaching the final - with the Dutch performer getting involved in an incident with a camerawoman.

Ireland came sixth, with Taoiseach Simon Harris congratulating Bambie Thug for a 'stunning performance' that 'did Ireland proud'.
Nemo was eventually crowned the winner - making this appeal about the future:

Speaking afterwards, Bambie Thug says it was 'hard and horrible' behind the scenes - but they are really proud of the team and Ireland.
