A man in his 30s is in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin after being attacked on Grove Street in Mullingar in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At approximately, 1.40am Gardaí were alerted to a disturbance outside a premises on Patrick Street, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath involving two men.
