The Bishop of Elphin has slammed the targeting of people because of their sexuality, saying it is unjustifiable and unacceptable.
Bishop Kevin Doran was speaking at the Easter Vigil in Sligo Cathedral this evening.
He said we have all been badly shaken by the violent attacks in Sligo, resulting in the deaths of two men who were our "neighbours, friends and colleagues."

Bishop Doran says Christians can never condone such attacks, and people who identify as LGBTI should not have to live in fear.
