The first storm of the season has hit Ireland, with a status yellow wind warning in place for the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
There are expected to be power outages in Co Leitrim later today.
Storm Ashley has hit Ireland, bringing strong and gusty winds this morning.
A status yellow wind warning has been in place for the entire country since midnight and will remain in place until 3 o'clock tomorrow morning.
In the Shannonside Northern Sound region, it is likely to lead to fallen trees and branches and difficult travelling conditions.
This storm is expected to hit coastal counties the hardest.
Every coastal county on the west coast, from Donegal to Kerry - including Leitrim - will have a status orange wind warning from midday until 8 o'clock this evening.
That is likely to mean there will be power cuts in these counties, meaning some pockets of Leitrim will have blackouts later today.
