The body of a man in his 20s was discovered yesterday afternoon in the St Mary's Square area of the town.

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

The discovery was made on Sunday July 30th at a house in Mohill.

The women in her 30's was discovered unresponsive at a house in Kilglass.

It's understood that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Sub-aqua clubs from across a wide area had been making searches of the river for the past few weeks

A major search was carried out yesterday evening and this afternoon involving Gardai and members of the Civil Defence.
