The body of a Longford man who was missing for 11 days has been found in a wooded area close to his home.
The search for 79-year-old Peter Oliver Bohan in north Longford was called off after the discovery of his body yesterday evening,
He had been missing from his home outside Drumlish since Sunday, May 12.
A joint Garda and Civil Defence search had taken place since then with the help of the public.
The Garda air unit, drones and specialist sniffer dogs were deployed in the search for Peter.
A post mortem examination is set to take place in the coming days.
Inspector Declan McGlynn, from Longford Garda Station, has thanked all who helped in the search.
