Leitrim County Council confirmed at the Ballinamore Municipal District meeting this week that the bond from the developer is to be drawn down by the local authority to complete the works at Dun na Bo
Earlier this year the Council hinted that it would be prepared to engage in legal action with the UK-based company in order to obtain the money required to complete lighting, footpaths and other ancillary services.
Speaking at the April meeting of the MD, Vincent Dwyer confirmed that the bonds company engaged with the local authority after the financial regulator was asked to intervene.
