Bord na Móna intends to apply for retention permissions for a wind monitoring mast in Longford.
The energy authority is seeking approval to continue the use of the existing wind mast for a further period of three years.
The mast measures 100 metres in height and is located at Lough Bannow Bog in Derrynaskea.

The extension would assess the suitability of the company's adjacent lands for the development of a wind turbine.
