A 6 year old boy has died after getting into difficulty at a hotel swimming pool in Co. Offaly.
The Irish Daily Star reports that the little boy was rushed to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore on Sunday evening but was later transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin where he died yesterday.
The Health and Safety Authority have launched an investigation.

The management of the Tullamore Court Hotel have extended their sympathy to the boys family.
