The Boyle and Longford local electoral areas have some of the highest rates of Covid-19 transmission in the Shannonside region according to new figures from the HSE.
The nationwide rate currently stands at 413 per 100,000 people.
New data released from the HSE Covid Hub shows the Boyle LEA in Roscommon has almost double the national incidence of 755.
Elsewhere in the county, the Roscommon Municipal District is recording a level of 642, with 146 new covid cases recorded over the last two weeks.
Meanwhile, the Athlone LEA has one of the lowest incidence rates in the country at 195.
In the Longford local electoral area, cases are continuing to rise, with the current rate of 722 and 116 new covid cases in the last fortnight.
Elsewhere in the county, the rates are lowering with 466 and 393 in the Ballymahon and Granard areas respectively.
Levels are stabilizing in Leitrim, with the Ballinamore LEA slightly over the national average at 537, while Carrick recorded an incidence rate of 316.
Nationally Three out of the top four areas with the highest incidence of COVID-19 in the country are in County Monaghan, while Athlone in Westmeath has the country's lowest rate.
