Businesses around The Crescent in Boyle are appealing to Roscommon County Council to consider their concerns about parking under the new Town Enhancement Scheme.
Proposals include new arrangements for parking around the town centre area and making the Crescent more pedestrian friendly with the development of shared public spaces.
Details of the Part 8 planning application for the scheme, which will have to be approved by councillors by December 1st for the project to go ahead, are currently available to the public on Roscommoncoco.ie
Boyle Cllr John Cummins says up to 70 per cent of the proposed developments are welcomed by members of the public.
And the Fianna Fáil Cllr says making The Crescent more pedestrian friendly is a good idea, but he has some reservations.
