Longford Town fell to a dismal three-nil defeat away to Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on Friday evening writes Andrew Dempsey.
Bray dominated in a frenetic opening half, although they could not make their chances pay with Ryan Graydon, Luka Lovic and Gary Shaw all going close.
However, just thirty seconds into the second period, Gary Cronin’s side took the lead through Sean McEvoy who fired home low into the bottom corner.
McEvoy made it two shortly after, poking past Lee Steacy in the Longford Town goal – before Shaw made it three with just over twenty minutes to play.
And that was how it remained as Town suffered their heaviest defeat of the season and have now gone six points off the top of the table with six to play.
