People across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are being urged to assess where they are placed on the rollout of the National Broadband plan.
There are a number of stages including surveying work, then design of the network before the build out on the ground, taking approximately a year from beginning to end. People can see where they are at on the plan through the website, www.nbi.ie by keying in their Eircode.
Crews on the ground installing fibre infrastructure in 13 locations in county Roscommon with the first set of homes and businesses due to be connected by September. In Longford, the programme is at the design stage with homes to be connected next year.
