Over 40 people attended a protest this morning against ongoing public realm works on the town square.

Business owners in Ballaghaderreen say the removal of parking spaces in the town will be detrimental to the local economy. Over 40 people attended a protest this morning against ongoing public realm works on the town square.

Retailers and residents say Roscommon County Council have ignored their concerns after over 500 submissions in response to the plans.  Local businessman Aidan Egan says footfall will suffer as a result of proposed changes to the town's lay-out:
