Disability advocates in Longford are urging businesses and shoppers to be more aware of people wearing sunflower lanyards.
It's green with sunflowers and is worn by people with hidden disabilities as a discreet way of letting people know they may need some assistance in a shop.
Wearers may also be unable to wear face coverings because they have reduced mobility, breathing difficulties or need to lip read.
Maria Kielty disability representative on the PPN in Longford is hoping more businesses and the general public will look out for the lanyard and be aware of the message behind it.
