Caelen Doris will miss the remainder of the Six Nations while Jonathan Sexton and Conor Murray are set to be fit for next week’s trip to Italy.
Doris missed Ireland’s first two games, having reported concussive symptoms prior to the Wales game with Ireland head coach Andy Farrell reporting Doris unavailable for the foreseeable future.
“Caelen is getting well looked after, seeing the right people, getting the right advice and making sure he’s comfortable on his return to play” explained Farrell.
“That’s all still in process but we don’t intend to see him back anytime soon” added Farrell.
Half-back duo Sexton and Murray missed the defeat to France having failed the return-to-play protocols, but are expected to return for the meeting with Italy.
