A local Active Age group is urging authorities to work together to provide a community centre for Carrick On Shannon.
Carrick Active Age along with other community organisations had been meeting at The Hall attached to St. Mary's National School.
The Hall has since been reclaimed as a classroom by the school, leaving many groups without a base to meet.
Carrick On Shannon Active Age group have called for the provision of a local community centre that could host local organisations.
