A local councillor is calling for a new weekly Longford to Sligo rail service.
Longford Cllr Martin Monaghan is bringing a motion forward to next weeks council meeting.
Similar motions have already been brought forward by Roscommon Cllr Sean Moylan and Leitrim Cllr Sean McGowan in recent months.

The current Sligo-Dublin Connolly service stops at multiple stations in the Shannonside region, including Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon and Longford Town.
