The HSE have been called on to allow a local Ballinasloe sporting club access to toilet facilities at a disused healthcare site in the town. Councillor Alan Harney raised the issue at the most recent meeting of the Western Region Health Forum, seeking permission for Ballinalsoe AFC to access existing toilets on the St Brigid's Campus.
The club has used the pitches at St Enda's on the campus for a number of years, and a request has been made for a portable toilet should the initial request be denied. The HSE West Estates team confirmed that access to the existing toilets is not possible but were open to the possibility of a portable structure and requested more information.
