Calls on forestry companies to cover costs for extended power outages

Forestry companies are being urged to provide compensation to North Roscommon households affected by lengthy power outages.

Hundreds of homes in Boyle and surrounding areas were left without electricity for a week, due to Storm Darragh.

Trees fell down on powerlines in many forests in the region.
