A decision is due today on the granting of a permit for a controversial waste transfer station in Ballinasloe.
The proposed facility has been strongly resisted by people in the region with locals forming the Ballinasloe Says No campaign in response to the development.
Bruscar Bhearna Teoranta has been seeking permission for the facility at Poolboy for several years, with a previous permission overturned in the High Court.
Almost 700 submissions were made over the project with Galway County Council due to announce their decision later today.
