The re-location and re-opening of the branch library in Carrick on Shannon should attract new members, as well as encouraging lapsed members to explore the service again.
That's according to Leitrim County Librarian Pauline Brennan who says tomorrows re-opening on a busy street in the town is likely to result in renewed interest for some people.
The new premises is located at the former Cox's pharmacy and it provides larger, more open space than the old library on the Park Lane.
The library currently has more than 3,000 active users and Pauline Brennan says that number is sure to grow with their new location.
We're very much looking forward to welcoming all our current members and possibly some new members, and maybe even some lapsed members who might have visited us in our old location down on Park Lane and who we will be delighted to see now in Bridge Street.
It's much easier for people to access the library once it's in a more central location in the town, and it's not off the beaten track, or out of people's view.
Really a lot of it is about people seeing the library service and popping in to us.
