An Post has confirmed that Carrick on Shannon Post Office is set to move Glancy's SuperValu in Cortober next year. The move comes following the recent resignation of postmistress Ann Gormley after a number of years in the role.
An Post say they will now develop a new purpose fitted post office at Glancy's with the change of location due to take place in the first quarter of 2025. Local Councillor Maeve Reynolds says she's disappointed the new Post Office will not be located in the town centre:
