A garda forensic examination is set to take place later today, according to sources.

The news follows a meeting between the HSE, parents and politicians in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon this afternoon.

The application involves three new playing pitches, off the Castlecara Road, and has been approved by Leitrim County Council.

The proposed development also includes 56 parking spaces, a bicycle stand, an electric vehicle charging station and solar panels.

The family are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
