Traders in Carrick-on-Shannon have expressed their relief that the town centre has re-opened today to traffic.
Works have been ongoing over the last number of months in the town as part of a multi-million euro streetscape plan.
There was controversy in the autumn after the Council admitted its frustration at the slow-pace of works by the contractor but significant progress has been made in the last six weeks.
